It's still quite unbelievable to have a 3min video that's 4GB... if u have a hour video of that same quality ... i there a few of them and there goes your hard drive space

Erm, very true... But it's no fun talking about mundane/ordinary stuff... Let's continue talking about the extremes ![keke smiley of keke]()

Haha.... okok... actually it's not really that off... .mkv files that big will have .avi files (of the same quality) having a unbelievable size

Hmmm... I agree!

I wonder if dvd players next time will support .mkv files like they do for .avi files.... I really hope such dvd players will be avaliable. So that i can play all my .mkv files on tv!

can we play avi at dvd player
Most of them are able to do so... You can check by looking if there's a DivX logo (on the player or the box of the player) or just put in a disc with a .avi (and see if it can be detected a not)« ÃŽÄŸ-NaÍÅ·-ŚħuÅ› »

i dont know if my dvd player can play avi or not because i bought it along time ago
It's ''a long'' but not ''along''
Anyway, how long ago did you buy that player? 5 years before? I think it's worth the try for you to buy a CD-R or DVD-R and transfer a few .avi files to it and try to play it on your DVD player... I love watching anime on my TV screen with my sound system

.avi can be played straight off from dvd players... If it's .mkv, i'll leave it alone and play it from my computer
instead of tv... Conversion = waste time and increase the size of the file (waste space)

well for me i dont have my own computer so i convert it and watch it at home XD
Waa.. That's a really long process (to convert animes to .avi cause most anime nowadays come in .mkv)
