I still do prefer the anime to the drama, but they were both good in different aspects. So they're a really fun and funny watch. You'll enjoy! Plus the music is definitely a great addition.

i still go for anime in terms of stories...it is more detail compared to drama and some characters in anime are not in drama...
but as we all know, anime came later after the drama..so it is no surprise that they can produced a better story

however in terms of characterization i would go for drama....
So..., credit to actors and directors of the drama because their realized the characters very well...

well now, this was a FANTASTIC drama! it had pure manga-ish humor, friendship, determination, love and .... a pervert of a Teacher,"Milch" Sensei smiley of boss hahaha boy did i enjoy this series or what! even the specials were great!

what i loved about it was how they turned a manga to an anime to a drama KEEPING the core alike! i mean usually when u see a manga based drama, it normally loses its manga-ish feel of abrupt humor, but this one had it! smiley of erm

i'd recommend it to anyone who's interested in music and a fun time for a drama smiley of haha

not really sure, in the anime it was funny, but the drama was annoying it seemed that instead of being funny they were making a fool of themselves, also I didn't think that the actor who acted as chiaki was the right choise. the story I also felt it was better in the anime, but this is only my opinion.

well if you put it that way i'd agree with you, though i havent seen the anime, but felt just the same way when they turned Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge into a drama, total kill-joy that turned out to be smiley of cold

I also felt the same about Yamato Nadeshiko drama, first of all it didn't follow the original story at all and its true that more that funny it was foolish.
Well I thinks that the double edge of turning a comedy anime into a drama, you dont know if you could end up with a masterpiece or just with a pathetic attemp of that.

exactlly! its happened with so many mangas turned dramas that i feel sad for the author and angry at the director! and recently there's been this trend going on to "lets-ruin-the-original-story" with so many dramas based on the books. even hollywood movies!

i kinda liked live action drama... it's really amazing how they actually emulate the manga and everything...

hope they'll make the opera hen series live action drama as well...

overall this is a good music manga... another one I would've recommend is piano no mori ( which is also about music manga )
