I love madhouse productions and most probably watch Needless in this summer.

After the first 2 episodes, Bakemonogatari looked promising, although it has a somewhat familiar style...reminiscence of Zetsubou Sensei series...
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is also interesting... from my flashing through the first episode (need re-watching), impression is that the heroine will, through this disaster, learn to appreciate her family more... a theme explored many times in Miyazaki's classics...
As for episode counts, from my insignificant experience, usually it is better to keep thing clean & concise, instead of dragging on and on until the novelty and magic (if there is any, still far too early to decide) eventually die off... This is especially true for a series which deal with a incident/accident-based storyline... which is much better suited to a movie/OVA instead of a series ne... Well that's just my opinion... let's see how this series will turn out ne...
So my final selections for the summer...
-Bakemonogatari
-Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
-Zan Zetsubou Sensei
And two movies, Miyamoto Musashi: Souken ni Haseru Yume & Evangelion 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance...
