I have received a lot of notice from user, about download interruption, slow speed or connection problems... so I decided to make a quick review about some most common download managers.
1. Internet Download Manager:
Probably the most common one around here. I recommend this download manager for its simple and clean design.
Testing for connection flushed: with connection flushed, IDM auto resume it. I give it 10/10 for this point.
Most recommended download manager.
Score: 9/10
2. FlashGet:
A free download manager. Mostly used with firefox for it full integrated into the browser.
Testing for connection flushed: if something flickering your connections, the download is stucked. I had to manually stop and resume the download. And it resume perfectly.
If you need a download manager that free and nice support for your FF, FlashGet is a valuable option.
Score: 6.5/10
2. Download Accelerator Plus:
The most annoying software I ever used:
- I manually unchecked option "Default download manager" then I were asked "Do you want to make it default..." after installed. If you ask for that, why put an option in the installer? Annoying.
- Ask for install their toolbar, what is the need for that.
- Ask for install a bunch of other softwares. Hey, no joking. I am installing a download manager, not an advertiser program.
- Tempted to set their page as my homepage. Are you a virus or what?
- Waste of my bandwidth: open the program with their homepage. I NEED A DOWNLOAD MANAGER, NOT A WEB BROWSER.
Testing for connection flushed: even if a hair got in your connection for 0.000000000000001s, the download is completed at once. What is the need for a download manager if it can't manage the download in case of the connection not stable?
If you are using DAP, I recommend you remove it at once.
Score: 0/10 - you should remove it at once.
4. JDownloader:
Free download manager. And with tons of plugin to support for various download site. Chauthanh.info have their own plugin: http://jdownloader.org/hoster/chauthanh.info
Testing for connection flushed: not sure why they marked our site as "not resumable". Even though tested, I can resume the download easily with pause or stop.
It's a bit hard to use for common user in their first time. If you want to try something new, give it a go.
Score: 7/10

I suggest Free Download Manager (FDM), It's free (of course), torrent support, download whole site support, watching video while dowloading support (small window though), fast switching connect manager. Its disadvantage is interface with too many options. Not a 10/10 but it so good for a freeware (8/10)
