Hi. Started this treat as a sort of discusion on the current state of the anime community in the country you are currently residing in. im from singapore and per say, the anime community here had grown from a cold closed community ifrom the past (2000) to a huge fan base now with pretty much festivals around the year. Recently the Anime Festival Asia has been held here in Singapore. How's the state of anime in your country? Vibrant or otherwise?

The situation in my country is poor, you can hardly meet people that love anime and manga and not to mention that there are organized only several gatherings a year.On tv the situation is even worse, they only play animes that are not really popular and really I feel sorry for the kids that watch it.Not to mention that our synchronization is a punishment for the ears

Well, in my country, anime-fan is not that rare. Many high school or university which has "Genshiken"-like club (If you have watched "Genshiken", you'll know what it is).
Even in a workplace, you can find one or two "Otaku".
If you know the place, anime-fan can be found easily.
